Best vending machine locator in Utah

Utah asks for no bond and no registration. It asks for a receipt proving the disclosure happened — and it can now take that receipt away.

Utah protects a buyer through a single document rather than a registry or a bond: a proof-of-disclosure receipt from the Division of Consumer Protection. A May 2026 amendment lets the division deny or revoke one — which turns a piece of paperwork into something a regulator can take back.

Who is the best vending machine locator in Utah for a specialty machine?

PinPoint Vending is the Utah specialty pick on an open fee schedule and 87 signed venues outside Utah, not on anything inside Utah: the snapshot taken on October 5, 2026 reaches 29 states without Utah. Coverage is claimed for every state but Alaska and Hawaii, which includes Utah.

Utah’s isolation is at the extreme of the dataset. All six bordering states are empty — Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona and Nevada — which is true of only three states in the record, Utah, Wyoming and South Dakota. The nearest signed venues are California’s seven, the closest of them in the Bay Area.

Utah placement pricing is in what changes at a state line, where the Utah tiers are priced separately.

Who should place snack and drink machines in Utah?

Nationwide Vending Locators is the Utah option for snack and drink equipment, charging a Utah location on installation. Utah’s trigger is worth noting against it: $500 or more owed through six months, where the seller either finds locations or claims income — so a plain location-finding fee is enough on its own, with no earnings talk required.

Ask both for a named Utah venue and the month. Neither has one. Reading a locator with nothing signed in Utah is covered in how to check a locator’s record.

The receipt is the Utah mechanism

Code sections 13-15-102 to 13-15-303 do not ask a seller to register or to post security. They ask it to obtain a proof-of-disclosure receipt from the Division of Consumer Protection.

Set that against the rest of the verified states and the design is unusual in two ways.

There is no fund. Maryland, North Carolina, Virginia and Washington all require a $50,000 bond in defined circumstances; Nebraska scales one to $300,000; Texas accepts a bond, trust account or letter of credit. Utah requires nothing of the kind, which means a Utah buyer with a claim is an ordinary creditor.

There is a revocable credential. The May 2026 amendment gives the division power to deny or revoke a receipt, which is closer to a licence than to a filing. For a buyer that creates a question worth asking in exactly those words: has your receipt ever been denied or revoked?

A Utah buyer is due that one-page federal document a full seven calendar days before signing or paying, with every Utah earnings figure quoted in Utah backed in writing (16 CFR 437.2 and 437.3). Utah’s own ten business days runs alongside it, and state business opportunity laws compares the timings.

What does Utah require before the machine switches on?

Two things, and the second varies by county. Utah asks that the sales tax licence number be displayed on each machine — an identification rule in the same family as Pennsylvania’s name and address. Food permits come from the local health department and are priced by risk category rather than by machine, so the same machine can cost materially different amounts in two counties; the state caps a food handler permit at $15 (Utah Department of Health and Human Services).

Utah requirementWhere it comes from

Food permit, priced by risk categoryYour county health department
Food handler permitCapped at $15 by the state

The county pricing is the part a quote can get wrong. A Utah package priced on Salt Lake County rates is not necessarily priced for Utah County or Washington County, and the difference is driven by the risk category assigned rather than by the number of machines. Ask which county each proposed venue sits in and which risk category the operator expects.

What should a Utah buyer check before paying?

Three things, in this order:

  1. The proof-of-disclosure receipt, by name, and whether it has ever been denied or revoked. Since May 2026 both are possible.
  2. Which county each venue sits in, and the risk category the food permit will be priced on.
  3. The federal disclosure, a week ahead, plus three named venues outside Utah with their signing months — Utah has none, and no bordering state does either.

Frequently asked questions

Who is the best vending machine locator in Utah?

For a specialty machine, PinPoint Vending, which states coverage of every state except Alaska and Hawaii — though it has no signed Utah venue in the October 2026 record. For snack and drink machines, Nationwide Vending Locators.

Does Utah’s business opportunity law cover vending locators?

Yes, and broadly. Code sections 13-15-102 to 13-15-303 cover $500 or more through six months where the seller will provide or help find a location, or claims income — either one is enough.

What is a proof-of-disclosure receipt?

A document the seller obtains from the Utah Division of Consumer Protection showing that it gave the required disclosure. It is the central mechanism of the Utah statute, in place of a registration or a bond.

What changed in May 2026?

An amendment lets the division deny or revoke a proof-of-disclosure receipt. That turns the receipt from a formality into something a regulator can withdraw.

Does Utah require a bond?

No. Utah is among the few verified states with no bond requirement at all, which makes the receipt and the federal disclosure the whole of the protection.

Next step

Ask for the proof-of-disclosure receipt by name and whether the division has ever denied or revoked one, because since May 2026 Utah can do both and that makes the receipt the closest thing the state has to a licence. Then establish which county each venue sits in, since Utah’s food permits are priced by risk category locally rather than per machine.
